The Sylvania LED Power Failure Light is a great little preparedness item. You can find it here tinyurl.com Its automatic sensor turns on the night-light as soon as the room goes dark and turns on its flashlight feature if power is lost. At under 10 bucks I think every home should have at least two of them plugged in at all times. Even if you have a great set up with flash lights, candles, lanterns etc. you seldom know when the light will go out and it is usually at a time that is inconvenient.
