TeraLUX LED upgrade is an excellent upgrade to your 2 or 3 cell Maglight, this LED is blindingly bright. The light is crisp and white with a touch of blue to it. The beam is relatively occlusion free. The beam is sharp and the edges crisp. Crisper than the original krypton bulb I had in there. Side by side comparison photos towards the end of the video. Note: Yep I said 3-C, but it was the 3-DI was holding there. The 3-C was 2 feet away, lol. If you want to retrofit your maglight, this is the way to go. If you just need a (very good) compact light, check out this one at deal extreme. www.dealextreme.com I have it and it (with the rechargeable 16340 batteries) is nearly as bright as the big light. They run $20-$25 usually. If you can live with a bit less light, the 2 pack of TechLite Lumen Masters for $15-$25 from Costco (when they have them in stock).
