In humanitarian news, Formosa (Taiwan) provides solar lamps for Burkina Faso. As part of the Lamp for Africa project, photovoltaic power generating systems were placed in certain schools. In addition, each of the students received a light-emitting diode (LED) kit which contained a rechargeable battery that kept its power for four and a half hours. This enabled the youngsters to recharge their lamps while at school and then use them in the evening at home. Our sincere appreciation, Formosa, for your caring endeavor. May your kind assistance enable many bright children of Burkina Faso to complete their educations and fulfill their dreams.
