Camera doesn't do justice! Innovative design: This lens/LED design takes all the light produced by high out put LED and projects it forward (similar to how a laser beam's optic works). The distance that this light throws is nothing less than incredible. It has distance that only HID metal halide flashlights can compete with, but the LED has the advantage of MUCH longer run time, less heat, and doesn't require a 5-15 second warm up time to achieve full brightness as HID flashlights do. I built this beast with some info from a few of my candlepowerforums pals, this set up allows for superior beam throw. this it is in the league of HID metal halide flashlights.
